Sometimes it takes more than office visits to deal with a child’s emotional and behavioral issues. Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) are a voluntary service that offers tools and support to families so they can create a supportive environment at home.
For a better life for children and their caretakers, Foundations Mental Health Center is committed to offering BHIS to each family that needs it. With qualified Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) therapists available to do assessments and evaluate the need for BHIS, we are prepared to offer critical services to families in need of support.
We offer support and tools to help families work through emotional and behavioral issues, real-life solutions for dealing with family conflict, coordination between therapists, psychiatrists, schools and other service providers in the community and a comprehensive and coordinated array of services from assessment to implementation.
These services provide support, direction and education in the client’s home or a community setting in which the client feels safe. BHIS services are designed for children or adults experiencing social, behavioral or emotional problems with the primary goal of assisting these individuals and their families in learning age-appropriate skills to manage behavior and self-control issues, allowing them to function in the home setting and in society.
